    • Just about everyone in New Chapel, Indiana is thrilled about the return of Cody Verse, a local boy who won the reality TV show “America’s Next Hit Single”. Crowds gather to see him, however not everyone is happy to see him, particularly ex-friend Andrew Chapper who claims he wrote Cody’s hit song and is entitled to a share of the prize money. Cody hires notorious attorney Ken “The Lip” Lipinski to represent him in court. The court case has barely started when someone murders Lipinski [...]

    • More cozy mystery fun!First, I'm loving this series far more now that certain romantic threads have been resolved (or at least changed). Far, far more. Second, even though this book brought in more members of the Knight and Salvare families than I usually like, Collins did it in a way that worked -- the family visits were fully integrated into the main mystery plot. That was a great change that I'm hoping Collins can keep going in future books. So what was this one about? A notorious local attorn [...]

    • Cute little book. I am so, so pleased to read about two characters that seem to really like each other as well as love each other. Not only that, Marco, really seems to value his fiancée's help with his investigation. What a relief, after reading about all the amateur investigators that just stick their nose into investigations, since they seem good at it. Don't get me wrong. I enjoyed those books when I first read them. However, it seems to be a plot contrivance that is overused. I am just so [...]

    • I really enjoy this series. Marco and Abby always have fun and crazy adventures as they solve a mystery. This time it centered around a local who won a reality TV competition and was back in town.

    • A LOT more Marco action that I LOVE! One thing I absolutely hated was CINNAMON! If her and Rafe end up getting back together I’m going to be SO MAD! Like, her family had the NERVE to call the Salvares those names when look at their family! Ugh Idk what Rafe is thinking like he met cinnamon A WEEK BEFORE HE PROPOSED AND HE SAYS HES CRAZY FOR HER! Yeah right!

    • First of the Flower Shop Mysteries. Makes me want to read more gentle or cozy mysteries - definitely by this author.

    • There is much sorrow in this book. I don't know how things add up here, but on a basic level the latter was more than value for money, or maybe more than it's worth in a pound of flesh. The ending perched on a cliffhanger. The story is fast paced with lots of intricate events decorating the gears and heart of this book. I think this book deserves five stars. So the year started auspiciously for me. I realize that here, the author padded out her prose with flashbacks of any relevant previous pass [...]

    • Local boy Cody Verse won America's Next Hit Single with his song Code Blue, but his childhood pal Andrew Chapper is suing him, claiming that he actually wrote the lyrics. The whole town is in an uproar because Cody has returned to New Chapel for the trial, and Abby Knight, owner of Bloomers flower shop, hopes things will be back to normal soon. Andrew's lawyer is Dave Hammond, whom Abby once clerked for, while Cody has retained local piranha Ken "The Lip" Lipinski. Her hopes are dashed when Dave [...]

    • This is the first time that I have read a book by this cozy author. I was not disappointed Dirty Rotten Tendrils by Kate Collins is fun and mystifying cozies. There so many murder suspects who could have done it and the characters are all well developed. Kate Collins has a great sense of humor and uses it well. At the opening of the book, she expounds on how much better it is to live in a small town as compared to a big city but as she goes on and on about this theme, everything you can image go [...]

    • Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books1 star This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.2 stars This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.3 stars This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.4 stars I really [...]

    • Abby Knight owns a flower shop. She also has a tendency to get involved in solving murders. This is no exception. Agter winning a nationwide contest Cody Verse comes to his hometown due to a lawsuit. He has cheated Andrew Chapper out of money that rightfully belnged to him. Cody has Ken Lipinski a shady attorney representing him. He takes one of Dave Hammond's exhibits that corraborates Andrews claim. But then Lipinski is found dead. Most logical suspect Dave Hammond. So the investigation starts [...]

    • I've been reading the Flower Shop Mystery series for years and in my honest opinion that hasn't been a bad book in the bunch. And I'm hoping that it will continue to be that way Of course there is always the odd book that doesn't quit measure to the rest, but it is a very entertaining series. And this book didn't disappoint. Abby is being her usual self, nosy and pertective of her loved ones; and Marco is trying to keep her out of trouble, the usual. Add the rest of the gang, and a few new charac [...]

    • This is the first book I have read in the series and I know I know! I shouldn't have done that but I really enjoyed it! Also I felt like even though I had no previous knowledge of the other books, Kate really gave a great description of everything from the characters to the town setting that I felt like I had read them all before and was caught up. She gives great information that you don't have to question anything. It's also a great read and page turner and will make you want to keep reading m [...]

    • This is one of my favourite series and this installment did not disappoint. It was a great read. There was a little less humour in this one than in some of the others but I think the subject matter demanded as much. It was well balanced and well written as usual. I like the way Marco and Abby's relationship has evolved and this book focused more on them working together as a team. A little big of a "cliff-hanger" however on the very last page !!! There are too many great secondary characters to [...]

    • Dirty Rotten Tendrils by Kate Collins made me like this series even more than I had in the past. Abby just wants her small town to stay the way it is and not all these changes that a singer has brought along with his fame. The town is gaga over his rise to fame and becomes ripe for crime. Who, What, Where and When will keep you on your toes throughout this book, whether it be, Cody Verse or Abby's personal life. All I can say after reading this book, is when is "Night of the Living Dandelion" out [...]

    • Flower Shop Mysteries- I love them and I've read them all. In this one Flower Shop owner Abby and her boyfriend, ex-cop Marco, becomes involved in a murder investigation when a slimy lawyer is murdered. He was defending New Chapel's latest celebrity, Cody Verse, winner of "America's Next Hit Single", in a lawsuit brought by his former friend and writing partner. Chief suspect in the murder is Abby's friend Dave, lawyer for the opposing council.

    • Oh how I love this series!!! A dear friend got me this book for my birthday and I couldn't wait to read it. I had to finish my current book and then started reading. This author know what she is doing. I did not guess this one at all!!!! However I have a problem.I have to wait until April to find out what happens next!!!! If you want a fun series you HAVE to read these!!!!

    • Yet another fun Abby adventure! Loved the American Idol-esque story line. And Rafe cracks me up! Him and Cinnamon were a riot in this book. Must say that Abby handles the jewelry snafu MUCH better than I would have! And the ending may have broken my heart! Seems like they just CAN'T catch a break! Hoping for one in the next book!

    • This is the first book I have read in this series and I enjoyed it! I liked how Abbey scheduled her sleuthing around work instead of always leaving her shop and employees in the lurch- when characters in other books do that I always find it annoying :) the twists at the end have me seeking out the next in the series!

    • When a shyster lawyer is murdered during a high profile case, Abby's friend is high on the suspect list. So, naturally being a florist, she and her beau Marco investigate. Meanwhile, Marco's brother's girlfriend finds Abby's engagement ring and thinks it's hers! Antics ensue. It's a fun book filled with comedic characters and situations, total mind candy, but I enjoyed it.

    • I thought this book had a really great start and could of led to a really twist ending but I was unfortuantly let down. Still better then some of the previous books in this series though. One thing I will say is that the last 2 pages made me wanna cry! After getting to know these characters so well over 10 books I couldnt belive what I was reading!!! :( On to 11.

    • Ahhhhh! I just finished this book and I don't want it to be over. I don't know how I will wait until April to be able to read the next one! I have really enjoyed this series. It takes about 2 or 3 books until you are caught up in it but then they are good. I can't help but smile/laugh when I read these. Kate Collins has figured out how to write books that make you want to read the next one! :)

    • Again Kate Collins has amazed me. I love Marco and Abby. I love the way she winds the story together and just when you think you have it all solved she throws in a twist that you just don't see coming. Even though she may have hinted to it earlier in the story. This book she throws you two twists in the end. Didn't see either one of them coming. Keep up the awesome writing Kate.

    • Loved this one! I enjoyed the Marco family stuff, the humor, the great mystery and of course Abby & Marco. Definitely worth reading! So glad I came across this series. I am very much enjoying the ride.

    • Although I have not read any of the previous Flower Shop mysteries, I found this one to be a fun, well-plotted mystery with characters I could truly identify with. I'll definitely backtrack and read some of earlier books in the series.

    • Well, what can I say? I just love this series and Abby is one of my favorite characters. This book was no exception, it was fun and entertaining and I'm looking forward to the next installment. Thank you, Kate!

    • Cody a local boy has hit the big time and come back to New Chapel cause his former best friend Andrew has started a law suit stating he co wrote a song, when Cody's lawyer is found dead and Abby and Marco's friend Dave a lawyer is accused of his murder can they prove his innocent

    • Well written and inventive light mystery. I didn't guess the culprit until right before the reveal, one of my measures for how good a mystery is, so this one is very good. The inevitable side issues were entertaining and fun as well.

    • I enjoyed this book, it was a quick read and I loved how Abby and Marco worked together to clean a friends name. Not sure where the ending is leading for the next book in the series, bit I have some guesses.
