    • It was lots of fun reading through all of the old Greek myths with Lance. I was familiar with some, such as Pandora's box, but others were new and exciting! The pictures were very nice, and in keeping with the historical style of the stories. I would definitely recommend reading this to little ones who are learning about Greek stories and legends.

    • The book opens up with a very easy-to-read contents page and then a map of Greece along with some background on Ancient Greece. The writing style is very accessible to young readers, but there is a lot of writing in each page. Some illustrations are included to help the reader stay focused and understand what is being read, but there could definitely be more illustrations to help out with comprehension. In the end of the book there is an index of Gods and Heroes as well as a page of resources wh [...]

    • When I was traveling to Greece I found it much more difficult than I expected it to be to find Greek myths told in an engaging, story-like way--many of the books I stumbled on were very dry recountings that focused on spouting out as many plot points as quickly as possible, rather than telling the story. But this one fit the bill. It tells the stories as stories. Plus it has beautiful illustrations. What's more, while many Greek myths are about tragic death via suicide/patricide/etc incest and o [...]

    • Wonderful layout, beautiful imagery and easy to follow and remember stories from the great Greek mythologies.

    • Evocative, lovely versions of the Greek myths. A great joy to read aloud with the kids. Enjoyed the connections to modern day Greece and the warm illustrations.

    • Nice introduction to Greek mythology. We enjoyed reading this with Davey! There are nice illustrations as well!

    • "Long red threadrolled withinkick the wheelfor the tale to begin!"I enjoyed reading aloud this set of Greek myths retold for children with my husband. The stories at times were a little disparate, but I enjoyed the range. The author conveyed some of the stories that are less accessible to young children, as there are no films portraying the story of Perseus, Arachne, or Atalanta, the way the better-known heroes such as Heracles and Jason have some dubious animations depicting their antics Partic [...]
